Our friends from the group ‘Gero Axular Kultur Taldea’ are coming to the Eurowoche for the third time this year.
The group was founded in 2004 by parents who wanted to ensure the continued existence of Basque dance schools and their tradition. Now, on its twentieth anniversary, the group consists of over 200 dancers of different ages and has already visited over 50 different folklore festivals worldwide. In addition to dance, other traditions are also very important to the group. They take part in every cultural event in their home town of San Sebastian and the neighbouring towns, thereby making a contribution to their region.
‘Gero Axular Kultur Taldea’ presents folklore at the highest level. Basque dances are characterised by their passion, their acrobatic skills and their ability to captivate and enthral everyone. The music is deeply rooted in the soul of the Basque people.
